It's a sad reality that the motorcycle cop who sits on the corner is able to "pull me over" for starting to cross when the walk signal still says 20 seconds left, but that he doesn't pull over the countless "Down Town LA drivers" who blow through lights that are barely still yellow, block off cross walks because they would rather sit with 3/4 of their car still in the intersection than wait for the next light, swerve and change lanes without signaling, speed down residential blocks at twice the speed limit, and who half of the time do not have their head-lights on at night. No. That mustached traffic cop who sits at Hoover and Jefferson would rather give me a ticket for not walking my bike across the street than ACTUALLY protect people from traffic hazards.
